Screening

ICOPE screening (Integrated Care for Older People) is a simple, confidential, and accessible process that helps detect early signs of functional decline in individuals aged 60 and over. It is a key first step in promoting healthy aging.

Note: Screenings are not currently available. ICOPE Screening will be available in early 2026.

Screening can be done by individuals, caregivers or health professionals using the ICOPE Applications self-assessment process. Screening will be available as soon as the App is launched.

Start an ICOPE Assessment

Once you access the ICOPE Screening App, follow these steps to complete your assessment.

Create a User Account

An email address is required to register on the secure platform. This account allows you to save your results and, if you wish, share them with a healthcare professional.

Complete the Screening

The questionnaire takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. It can be completed independently, from the comfort of your home. Set aside a quiet moment.

If you are less comfortable with digital tools, you can ask a family member or friend for assistance. Their presence is encouraged but not required.

The screening focuses on six key functions related to aging (mobility, memory, psychological well-being, nutrition/vitality, hearing, and vision). It is not a diagnostic tool, but a method for early detection. If your results show areas of concern, you will be encouraged to undergo a more in-depth screening and receive appropriate recommendations.

Share Your Results

If you are encouraged to undergo a more in-depth screening, you can access your screening results to share with a healthcare professional

Contact the Centre

Contact the ICOPE team if you have any questions about the application, the screening process or how your data will be used.
