Launch of ICOPE Québec

Schouela CEDurable officially launched ICOPE in Quebec, becoming the first centre in Canada to officially implement the WHO program. Dr. Matteo Cesari presented “Improving Care for Older Persons: From Research to Public Health,” examining how evidence-based practices can be integrated into health systems to support healthy ageing. The hybrid event ran from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Aberman Family Auditorium, Room A-102, followed by a networking reception until 7:00 p.m.

Café scientifique - Muscle and Bone Health

This free community event featured geriatrician Dr. Gustavo Duque and focused on muscle and bone health. Held in English, it took place from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Livingston Room at the Montreal General Hospital; no registration was required.

DURAgym Launch - Lecture by Dr. Debra Waters

At the official launch of DURAgym, Dr. Debra Waters discussed how evidence-based exercise programs can preserve functional capacity in older adults. The English-language hybrid lecture took place from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Aberman Family Auditorium, Room A-102, and was followed by a reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Geriatric Clinic, Room ES1100, until 6:00 p.m.

2025 Scientific Meeting of the Canadian Translational Geroscience Network

The second scientific meeting of the Canadian Translational Geroscience Network brought together researchers, healthcare professionals, trainees and industry stakeholders to connect laboratory discoveries with real-world applications. Held in Toronto on October 16–17, 2025, the program explored biomedical research and the integration of geroscience into clinical practice, research and public policy.

2024 Scientific Meeting of the Canadian Translational Geroscience Network
