The Simone & Edouard Schouela RUISSS McGill Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health of Seniors (Schouela CEDurable) is a Centre of Excellence that focuses on the implementation of multiple well-validated interventions to improve the health and well-being of our seniors in the regions covered by the Réseau Universitaire Intégré de Santé et Services Sociaux (RUISSS) McGill.

When Care Comes First: Reimagining Medicine, Medical Ethics, and the Medical Humanities

At the inaugural Bergman/Pilon Lectureship, Dr. Arthur Kleinman will explore how care can reshape medicine, medical ethics and the medical humanities. The event will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the Aberman Family Auditorium, Pavilion A, at the Jewish General Hospital.

Launch of the DuraGyms | Debra Waters PhD

The Launch of the DuraGyms will take place on November 6, 2025, featuring a lecture by Professor Debra Waters, PhD, on improving functional capacity in seniors through evidence-based exercise programs. The free event, held from 4:00–5:00 p.m. at the Jewish General Hospital (with online access), will be followed by a cocktail reception celebrating the opening of the DuraGyms.
